Cemile is from the village of Qemervan in Qebele region and is a part of the Lezgi people group.
Cemile is 45 years old and has 2 children. She became a grandmother at 43 years old and likes to spend her money on her granddaughter. She learned how to knit from her mom when she was only 15 years old. She stopped knitting for many years as she lived a semi-nomadic life with her family, travelling far distances by foot following livestock and green pastures. This type of lifestyle is very difficult and doesn't provide much of a chance for knitting. Now that she is settle back in one village she has started knitting again.
