She has 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
She got job at her village culture club because she could make carpets and there she teaching carpet weaving to children. She knows most of the women in her village and she introduced us to a total of 20 women who are knitting for us in her village. This includes two neighbor sisters who are hard of hearing and difficulty speaking but Gunes can understand and help us communicate with them.
She is also part of a group that gives special holiday and cultural performances in Qebele which is a big tourist area. She knits or weaves her carpet as others look on.
