Valida is from the village of Piral in the Qusar region and is a part of the Lezgi people group.
Valida knits in the long winter nights usually by visiting her sister who lives by herself and also knits for us. They spend time knitting together so that her sister doesn't have to spend long evenings alone as family and community are an important part of their culture.
