Zemfira is from the village of Imamqulukend in the region of Gusar and a part of the Lezgi people group.
She has four children and two of her daughters are married and have children. She has a younger son at home which she is paying for him to have tutors so he can study in University. When we asked how she spends the money she makes, she said for her household she buys food and pays for other needs, including the tutors. Her mother-in-law lives with her and her family as well and she takes care of her. She enjoys knitting and her husband joked that he wanted to learn to make the heels and he will help make more socks! (Men usually don’t knit in Azerbaijan)
