Gulnisa is from a remote village, Pirasora, in the region of Lerik. She is a part of the Talysh people group and knits beautiful traditional Talysh patterns into her long socks.
Gulnisa lives and knits together with her sister-in-law. There are many people living in their house from many generations. It is sometimes hard to figure out who and how the people are all related. She appreciates having her own income to provide for some of her own personal needs. She knits long socks with perfection as she has been knitting for many many years.
