Ilahe - Short socks
Teresa Hamlin
Ilahe is from the village of Imamqulukend in Qusar. She is a part of the Lezgi people group. Her village is famous for knitting socks and Ilahe says she learned from her mother-in-law whom she has been living with since she got married 20 years ago. She also works in the small clinic in their village as a cleaner and brings her knitting with her to knit in the slow times. She enjoys being able to earn extra money to spend on things her 2 older children need.
