Revana - Ornaments
Teresa Hamlin
Revana is from the famous village of Khinaliq but moved to a neighboring village after getting married. The women in these villages are all taught to knit from a young age. Revana herself spent many years on break from knitting as she spent her winters in the lower pasture lands with her livestock where the conditions are usually very dire. She and her husband have not been able to have children which is difficult in Azerbaijan with so much societal pressure. After she met us at Azerbaijani Socks she began knitting and has been able to help purchase some bigger items to help finish her newly built home.
