Peri is in her early twenties, she has a sweet smile, and doe-brown eyes that sparkle with life. Her home is filled with giggles as she chases after her toddler. Peri was inspired to learn to knit when she was pregnant with her first baby. She wanted to make little booties for her baby. Her mother-in-law helped her learn how to do this. As she grew in her knitting ability, she started to knit for Azerbaijani Socks. She now knits booties for babies around the globe! Every stitch she knits is an act of love and commitment. It takes so much time to knit these baby booties, especially as she takes care of her own little ones! It is worth the effort because it enables her to have income for herself and provides for her children. She loves to dream about the babies who will wear these booties- how wonderful to imagine that a mama in a tiny village in Qebele can shod the feet of a baby in a city in the USA.
Peri is from the village of Qemervan, in the region of Qebele and is a part of the Lezgi people group.
