Fira is from the village of Piral in the Qusar region and a part of the Lezgi people group.
When we asked about her, she said, “I knew how to knit since I was a child, my mother taught me. Now I have learned how to knit socks from the internet. I have been working with Teresa for a few months. I am still saving the money I earn. Knitting socks is a very laborious job, it requires patience and attention.”
