Lena is from the village of Bedirqala in the Qusar region and a part of the Lezgi people group. She says she saw her grandmother and mother knitting as a child, and she's been knitting ever since. She has knit for herself, for her family, and to sell socks herself; then she got married and began to knit for her children and to sell them. The money that she receives from knitting she spends on the education of her children.
