Seriya is from the village of Imamqulukend in the region of Qusar. She is 53 years old. She has loved knitting since she was a child. Her mother used to knit socks from wool she made herself. When we asked her about working with us she said, “I used to sit and watch my mom knit and I learned from her when I was just a teenager. Now I am happy to work for Azerbaijani Socks. This job helps me. I am a housewife, I do not work anywhere else. The money I make I am able to use for my kids.” She asks that God gives her strength to keep knitting!
